Much like the geometric squares of Stella’s famous minimalistic black series, our group placed a simple square in the center of Zaha Hadids’ curvey tower. Our group aimed to create strong lines which serve to define and divide the use of the space with an austere yet decisive form that is simple, proportionate, and clean.
The project is located in Zaha hadid’s Generali skyscraper in the city life district. The skyscraper originally has an office function: it has 44 floors, with a total of 177 meters. The floor we chose is the 41st, with an extension of about 220 square meters. The main theme we had to deal with was “platform minimalism” related to the intended use of a co-housing. The goal was to convert this space into a space no longer for offices but for co-housing, trying to interpret it according to the concept of minimalism. The space was designed for 18 people
